Service Description: Source watercourse data for the Buffer Protection Map that drives content on the MN Geospatial Commons (https://gisdata.mn.gov/dataset/env-buffer-protection-mn). These data were originally a combination of the Public Waters watercourses and public ditch data submitted by ditch authorities, SWCDs, watershed districts, and counties. The dataset has evolve since initial publication in 2016 through rounds of comments to indicate data changes. These data operate in parallel to the DNR Hydrography watercourses and the Public Waters Inventory watercourses, but eventually they will all be back in sync with each other. The attributes may differ, but the linework geometry will be coincident.
